There are so many work at home products these days it’s pretty well impossible to decide which ones to try. I can usually tell which programs and systems have the right ingredients to actually work in the new Web 2.0 world. There are certain elements I look for;

• is it inexpensive to try the work at home system
• is the work at home system tested
• is the work at home system established
• have many people succeeded using the work at home system
• does the work at home system have sound earning methods
• does the work at home system promote overly competitive products
• was the work at home system developed by people of integrity
• has the work at home system worked for me!!!
• is the work at home system and outright scam
• is the work at home system a flash in the pan with a short lifespan
• does the work at home system use realistic traffic generating methods

This list of characteristics is just a small number of different criteria I use when judging a work at home system. I’ve be burned with many scams, and I’ve been successful with many systems. Especially some of the so-called Google Cash systems. The truth is you just don’t know when a system is going to work. That is the honest truth.

I’ve tried some systems that look like they are a sure-fire no-brainer plans, but yet they fall flat on their face – even executed properly!! And I know exactly how to drive free and PPC traffic to a landing page!

Some work at home systems look like they are complete scams, and yet they end up working very well. You really don’t know until you test. I know I’m ALWAYS repeating how important testing is, but it IS THE KEY.

You can look at a WAH system that looks extremely viable, do the traffic and keyword research, do the PPC keyword research, and a full-on competition evaluation – but STILL in fails. The research IS extremely important so that you don’t waste your time on a lame profit generating system, but TESTING is the key.

You can’t get too upset or disappointed when a system does not work. Just keep testing different systems until you find one that makes a profit. Once you find the system that makes a profit, then you have struck GOLD. After you you find 3-4 systems that make a profit you have a stream of income that works for you online every day of the month and every night of the month.

It’s a good idea to try work at home systems that are international as far as traffic is concerned. If you people visiting your landing pages making you money around the clock and not just 8-12 hours per 24 hour cycle.

The difference in profit is very substantial when you have a campaign producing profits 24/7/365. This is a big tip for new-comers to affiliate marketing and online income generation.

One of the things I find frustrating is that people living in certain countries are not eligible to join some affiliate programs and work at home systems. There are some affiliate programs and online income generation systems that are available to almost every country on the planet. These opportunities are not as common or findable but they exist.

Things have really changed online since I started early in 2003-2004. The competition has boomed and it seems like every work at home system has been jumped on, saturated, and fully mined – yet there are still systems that have not been completely exploited.

One of the things I find frustrating is people that naturally assume that all of these work at home systems are scams. Some of the cynical assume that this kind of living is just not possible, when I know it is. I’ve been working from home successfully for 5 years now and there has been no turning back.
