Pretty Sure Onlywire Hurt Some of My Blogs

Friday, November 27th, 2009

removingonlywireOnlywire seems like a good idea, and I didn’t think it would really hurt anything on my blogs. I mean you are just bookmarking your blogs on several social media sites with one or two clicks right? Well I’m thinking wrong now. I tried using OnlyWire on three specific blogs, and after 6 months Google decided to stop caching new posts. These blogs used to get cached within two days on every new post, and now it’s been over 3 months and all posts within that time frame have not been cached.

All other blogs – caching with two days. Hmmmmm!

So I’ve removed OnlyWire from those blogs completely, and we’ll see if the blogs recover. I think they will because they have some good content on them. All good, natural, and purely original content, so they should recover.

I’m guessing Google sees the use of Onlywire as a bot – which it is, but not really a nasty bot after all. With all of the different bot tools on the market claiming to help you manipulate the search engines, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if Google has decided to reward ANY kind of bot action with penalty. So therefore OnlyWire has been removed from ALL of my blogs.

Once again, I believe that just having the latest version of WP running, and some of the key plugins running, it’s all you need to do very well. When you see me talking about bots, and some nasty bots like Xrumer, keep in mind that it’s always FUN and EXCITING to see if you can manipulate the search engines, even if it’s only for a short time – and it’s very important if you are going to use bots like these you NEVER promote your main white-hat blogs and web sites. You can play around with third-party blogs and sites on other servers, and have fun toiling away on blog farms, but it’s never worth risking your real domains.

You really don’t need anything more than white-hat practices to dominate a niche, but the trick is to finding a niche with tons of traffic and no-one else really working it. I just found a really exciting niche that has a stupid amount of traffic (and I’ve thoroughly tested it on other blogs), with very little competition and advertisers who have deep pockets, that sell extremely expensive products.

If you have had your blog(s) damaged from using Onlywire, read this post by Manuel, which explains what you can do to try and recover.

Black-Hat Seo Just Ain’t For Me

Sunday, July 8th, 2007

Well I’ve been quite amazed by the tools created by Halfagain, and the great eBook called Black Mask, but after a couple of weeks trying these methods, I’m just not happy with the blogs that get created.

They’re messy looking sites, with content that just is not pretty enough for your humble narrator. I’ve discovered that I like see beautifully laid out content.

As I’ve said before, I’ve tried some quicky black-hat sites, and they do make some money. However, they could be toast in the SERPS anytime, and it’s back to the drawing board.

I’ve decided to stick to what I do best, and that’s scrounge up good content, and post on real sites that I can put Adsense on.

What I Have Learned From The Black Hat Dabbling

I HAVE found some good tricks, and some good software that I will be using for white-hat purposes. As matter of fact, I’ve designed my own system of creating a blog farm that is pure white-hat, and POWERFUL. I won’t be sharing this system, as it’s never been presented as an eBook, and I know I can market it someday. Here is a hint:

– No hosting costs
– No blog scripts to install
– No domain costs
– No software costs
– No need for HTML experience
– No databases

The irony is that after all this time I’ll be making the majority of my money without any web savvy skills. I did have to find the system of blogs and sites, and learn how to link them, and run them, but that’s it.

So black-hat has helped me in a MAJOR way and I don’t regret all the money I spent learning some of the methods used. It was a great ride, and now it’s back to business…….CREATING MORE TRAFFIC, MAKING MORE SITES, and MAKING MORE MONEY!

Free Trial With Wordtracker

Friday, July 6th, 2007

Well, I’ve been using every conceivable keyword tool, and method, for doing keyword research, and I’ve finally gone back to Wordtracker for good.

As my readers know, getting the “long-tail keywords” is the trick to making a ton of money from the Internet. All of the free keyword tools used (Like Overture), can only give a small portion of the keywords available.

If you’ve been reading the Black Mask Adsense eBook, you will no doubt understand why we need Wordtracker to find the list of “long-tail keywords” .

Wordtracker has a free trial were you can use their service for evaluation. If you want to squeeze allot more money from you sites, you need to learn how to use Wordtracker.

I use the yearly subscription for $280, as I’m a full time web guy, but you can get a 1 week, or 1 month subscription for allot cheaper. When you see how many keywords you can find, that most web site builders (your competition) don’t know about, you’ll understand why I pay for the Wordtracker service.

PS – if you spend any money at all on your Internet business, spend it on the Wordtracker service. Your decision to do so, will make the BIGGEST difference in your income. Believe me…….this is a stone-cold fact!

First Blogsolution Domain Completed

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

Zulit-blogscriptssoftwareWrote this post at the Halfagain forum, regarding my progress using Blogsolution. Halfagain’s customer service is excellent by the way.

Post

Anyway…..so the first domain in the farm is finished. It’s a beautiful thing. Took a week to wrap my head around the templates, the script, etc. Now it should take 3 hours to build the next one.

Only 12 blogs created so far, and only 8% update a day – only 1 ping a day. Think I’ll leave it just like that for a month, and then give it an inbound from one of my old PR5 blogs. Then increase the inbound links on the domain slowly for 6 months.

Then see how she’s doing with Serps. If it’s looking good, I’ll increase the percentage a bit, and start adding new blogs from batch. After a year it will be time to pound the content on, as in more posts and more blogs created per week.

Thanks for the help Omar, and pass along to the rest of the team my thanks for making a professional script affordable to the average joe.
