New Search Engine Algos Are Watching!

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

This is a quick bit on power linking, just before I head out the door for the day. I’ve seen allot of these power linking software packages on the market these days, and I have to say I think they’re bunk.

The new search engine algos KNOW when there is an un-natural bunch of links created that are all inbound to a web page, or web site.

Furthermore, the new search engine algos are updating faster and faster, and faster. This makes power linking a problem as well. The days of exploiting search engines are slowly coming to an end.

Yes, there are some clever SEO people, loaded with the latest spam software packages, who can maniplate pages, sites, links, and content, to make things look natural to the search engines, but the amount of work it takes to trick the search engines, is often more work than just DOING IT the right way - the white-hat way.

If you want to create inbound links to your money-pages, do it slowly, and naturally. You’ll be way ahead of the curve.

As I have said before, I have some black-hat sites, and some black-hat software runnning blogs, and sites, in auto-mode (and that revenue stream is averaging $1,500 per month), but I don’t count on it, and I don’t plan on growing these streams in the future. I’ll watch these income streams for amusement, and watch as they dwindle in time.

In the mean time, it’s more real content, natural linking, and natural SEO.

Page Optimization - The WV Theory

Monday, June 12th, 2006

For those bloggers who are seriously blogging for money, they need to consider their writing process. What I’m getting at is good old fashioned keyword optimization. There are many different theories on this subject, but I recently read Kenny Allman’s article, Optimizing Your Adsense Blog Content, and I find it an interesting read. Kenny’s ideology on content optimization is that your writing needs to stand out from competing web sites and blogs.

His method of achieving this is to use words that are not the norm. He uses the phrase Keyword Variety (KWV) and coins the phrase Word Variety (WV). KWV, as he explains, is the typical keyword optimization used by masterful web content writers, and WV is a broader manipulation using synonym equivalents - simply using uncommon nouns and adjectives in the place of typical nouns and adjectives that competing web sites and blogs don’t use.
