I post these once and awhile simply to make sure new-comers can see it’s for real. You wouldn’t believe how much doubt there is out there. Drives me crazy sometimes to hear people refer to online income opportunities as “scams”.

Almost every online opportunity can make you money if you work hard enough at it. The trick is to find money making opportunities that make the most money, for the least amount of effort.

Your humble narrator is going back to the milk bar now.

There was allot of changes made a year ago with MSN, Google, and Yahoo marketing services, which created a big loss for us in  targeted web site traffic. It took me a year to get my head around all of the changes.

I also had to stop playing with all the gray-hat/black hat, crap sites, and concentrate on my quality, real blogs and sites. It turns out that we make 95% of our income from quality white-hat sites, so I had to quit toying with the junk, and get real.

So here is June’s breakdown:

$13,112.55 = Gross Income 
$5,305.65  = Total Advertising Costs

I will be going back into holiday mode for a couple of months now. This is the norm the last few years. I’ll do nothing except update this blog, and update the hubs of my blog farms (white-hat farms), and that’s it – no new sites or blogs will be created.

In the fall we’ll go to Mexico, Orlando, Hawaii, or Palm Springs for a couple of weeks, and then we’ll come home and get back to work. During these coming months, I’ll be monitoring all of our sites, and watching the numbers closely, but that takes about fifteen minutes a day.

Playing golf tomorrow, and going to the lake today, so it’s time to spool down the laptops.

Anyway:

Total online income for 26-27 was $954.78

Breakdown is $789.43 in Adsense and Chitika.  $165.35 in affliate sales and leads. Mostly Clickbank these last two days.

Total cost for PPC advertising is $387.24

$567.54 USD total profit. Very steady and decent income. This June (2007) is MUCH better than last year’s June income. Why? Because we’re getting allot more natural traffic than last year. Even Google has been giving the tip of the hat on our white-hat sites.

Black-hat stuff is small, but growing rapidly. Will have to revamp all the black-hat work, as I think these kinds of sites, have a shelf-life.

A good quality white hat site will earn indefinitely. Gotta run for now.

Since I am by nature, sometimes as borderline slouth (as in very lazy), I’ve decided to post all weekends as one earnings report. Saves me posting time, and I don’t really care about this sites page rank.

We’re still having a great time in Montana. Went up to the top of Big Mountain for a drive - took some pictures, and reminded me why I don’t ski. Love Montana, and I really love the people. It’s sometimes like their still back in 1973 here. Friendly, fairly easy-going, no BS people. LOVE it.

Adsense and Chitika were lower this weekend as to be expected as more Americans are getting their kids out of school and on the road to the lakes and camp-grounds.

This earnings report is for Friday 22^nd – Sunday 24^th of June, 2007.

Total contextual advertising (Adsense & Chitika) income = $943.47 USD

Total Affiliate Commissions – Leads and Sales = $183.23 USD

Not bad, not great. I would call it super considering I spent the day down at the beach drinking beer.

For a Thursday, it was just fine. Leads and sales income was middle of the road, but contextual advertising income was higher than a normal Thursday.

Tommorrow will be interesting as schools are finishing up, Moms and Dads are taking holidays as much as they can, and everyone is in full blown summer mode. We should be seeing a steep decline in traffic and income going forward now.

I know I’ve promised this decline in traffic and online income earlier this month, and I was proven wrong. Hope I’m wrong again, but I douby it. Most people are not sitting in front of their computers during the warm summer months.

Wait until September. I’ll show you a serious dive in the earnings charts then! I’m preparing new sites and new markets now to try and find a lucrative market and vector for September to November.

Below is an Excel graph snippet that shows the average gross income, average costs, and average profits per month in 2007. 

Green = Gross Average Income
Blue   = Average Net Profit
Red   = Average Operating Costs

These numbers are based on old sites that we don’t touch anymore. This income is completely passive, and residual. All we do now is work on more sites. But not right now – we don’t work in the summer. We travel allot, and we use that time off to brain-storm new online markets.

My wife is really good at researching new markets that have heavy traffic, and consistant flow in the vector.

Very similar to Tuesday as far as contextual ad income, but back to normal in the affiliate leads and sales.

Tried out some new merchants, and dumped some that were shafting us. When will these merchants get it through their heads? Affiliates are not stupid, and when they’ re stiffing us we know it!

As simple as removing their code, giving them a call to tell them why, and adding affiliate links from a different company. You really have to keep on top of these merchants.

Your humble narrator has been burned dozens of times, by affiliate programs and sleazy merchants. A word to the wise: if you’ve sent a merchant over 150 unique, and targeted visitors, and they have not given you credit for a sale or lead, DUMP THEM RIGHT AWAY! 

If they have not converted a lead and they’re honest, then they have terrible site conversion. If they have been converting visitors from your site, and have not credited you for the sale or lead – they’re scum-bags. DUMP THEM RIGHT AWAY!   

You know, I think I’m going to start a category/series on all the scum-bag merchants I’ve dealt with in the past. Hmmmm….have to think about that one. Very negative Karma with a quest like that.

I’m noticing a big jump in traffic as well, as you can see by the advertising dollar spent on Monday. The difference is that the sites are just paying out big right now.

Chitika is even performing better, and they’re usually way down this time of year for my vectors and markets. You can see the bump in my dailys chart below for June 2007. Keep in mind that this chart line is a graph of the AVERAGE daily net income for June 2007.

This was a very normal weekend this time of year, with only $28 in affiliate commissions and lead pay total.

Chitika and Adsense were about the same as last year this time at a total of $518.17. 

I use to get discouraged to see weekend affiliate commissions and contextual advertising drop to half of the weekday levels, but I just try and remember that I never made a cent on the weekends being an employee. 

So we’re settled into our cabin in Montana, and I just had the pleasure of waking up to the smell of our 7 month old golden retrievers massive pile of boo, and lake of urine at the foot of our bed. Seems he had some “problems” in the early hours of the morning. YUCK!!!! I’m still nauseas as I type this mornings post.    

Total contextual advertising income:

Saturday = $259.45
Sunday = $258.72

Total Affiliate Commissions – Leads and Sales:

Saturday = $00.00 USD
Sunday = $28 USD

Prosper.com is revolutionizing the lending game by letting “Joe Blow” average citizen lend money to other “Joe Blog” average citizens.

Borrowers, or lenders, can sign up with Prosper for free, and they can begin borrowing, or lending at will. Percentage rates vary on the bidding that takes place. Basically, you can have thousands of people bidding to lend you money.

Next I’ll try some of the 3D and pie graphs to see which ones show better.

Next posted earnings graphs will be in more detail as to the source of the income, and costs. For the purpose of this series on a WordPress blog, and this particular theme choice, I need to start using a different configuration.

Notice on the month of May (#5 at the bottom of the graph), I cut it off, because there is of course no numbers yet to display, and the graph takes a nose dive. Net income seems to be floating around the $7000 mark.

I’ll be starting some new sites and campaigns this summer, which will hopefully send these lines in a northern direction.

We only made a pittance ($25) in sales and lead commissions, but we had a higher level of contextual advertising in Chitika.

Adsense was down a bit though. Overall, I’m very happy with this Thursday, as it’s the slow down season in our vectors and markets.

I’ll guarantee you that next Thursday will be way slower, unless we get lucky with some good commissions. For instance, I noticed we made over $100 dollars today (the 15^th) in Commission Junction commissions.

This Wednsday, June 13th, 2007 we were low in the commission income levels, but a little higher in the contexual advertising income (YPN, Chitka, and Adsense)

Our costs were up a little bit as well, so we only netted 218 USD for the day. We’re heading towards the low season, so we’ll see even less net profit as we head into later June and early August.

I’ve decided to bring it back, but this time I’ll be posting more than just earnings, and not on a monthly basis. I’ll be posting daily online earnings, including contextual advertising income, affiliate lead and sale commissions, and all other incomes to the penny.

I’ll be posting daily, monthly, and yearly income, along with Excel created graphs. Privacy of business is not an issue for me here because I pay all my taxes. Furthermore, I won’t be divulging all of my domains (78 total private domains, and 14 public domains)

Since I started tracking my business to the penny using Excel spreadsheets and graphs, I’ve found it very interesting to watch the daily, monthly, and yearly trends. Believe me…the numbers swing high and low during the different yearly seasons, the world news, and economic climate changes.
