Sunday Adsense income was — $128.23 (December 5th, 2010)

The entire week’s Adsense income came to almost the same as the last two weeks, coming in at $945.21 USD. This makes the entire week coming in with an average of $135.03 per day. For the month of November we we came in with a average of $124.54 per day.

Bills will be paid, but not a ton left over. That’s OK. We have enough to pay the bills without using credit or creating any more debt.

Here is the good news considering we’re making it by at this time of year with our Adsense earnings. I combined all of our most consistent niches into one traffic graph line for the year. Sort of a bastardization of the Adwords Keyword Tool. Click to enlarge.

Total Adsense income for all of yesterday was $131.73, which according to our graph we have sitting our desktop, is fine and dandy this time of year. We are now heading down the rails into THE slowest period on the calender for us. Early December is the worst for traffic on the majority of our sites, so it will be “light” for the next couple of weeks.

By January we will double in traffic, Adsense will be paying more, and our click through rate will climb. It’s a triple whammy effect when it comes to the seasonal aspect for niche blogs.

1. When it’s hot season for your niche, the advertisers are more aggressive and bid higher on their Adwords campaigns
2. Traffic increases online for the same keywords
3. Click through rates climb because the buyers of the service and/or products are more aggressive all around

You’ll see up to 10-12 unique visitors on your site and NOT ONE OF THEM WILL CLICK AN AD. The all of a sudden you might get three of the next five unique visitors click like crazy, checking out every offer they can.

So took a bit of a break for a few days here. This is our Adsense income for the last three days.

• Saturday – $132.63 (were not expecting that)
• Sunday – $111.32 (also more that we expected for the TG weekending)
• Monday – $168.70 (pretty well normal)

Very good for pure natural traffic, and considering this the slower season for most our niches. It’s the shopping niche that is keeping us going right now though. Judging by the Google Trends site, we will be getting even lower during this month, but we really don’t know for sure because this is the first December we have been flying solo with no PPC traffic.

Onward….today it is 9:35 Pm Mountain time and we are at around $110 bucks so far – probably only make another $5 bucks before the end of this Tuesday.

So yesterday was twice as busy as the 25th was, and my guess is that most Americans that were planning a trip home from TG were on the road traveling on the 25th. Traffic doubled from the 25th to the 26th, and Adsense seemed to be paying better yesterday. Our Adsense income was $123.54 – much better than the day before.

So I my old friend from Victoria B.C. went home yesterday morning with his blog all built, Adsense approved and his Adsense code place perfectly on his blog for the maximum CTR. He had 4 post published when he left. We’ll see if he really goes for it and builds up his blog over time. Sure hope so.

Gotta go computer shopping now…..later.

So yesterday was one of the slowest days of the year, and this week will be too. Christmas and Thanksgiving are the lowest for our niche blogs. Adsense income – Adsense earning were very light coming in at $71.74. Very happy with that for numbers knowing that the “hot season” for most of our niche blogs is between March and August.

Every year is a raise too, because another full year of content has been written and posted on all of the blogs. This is the simple fact that makes profit made from Internet traffic arguable THE BEST kind of profit. We don’t need to invest in any more overhead, employees, or equipment to give yourself a raise. Just sweat equity – as long as you consider sitting in a comfortable chair in front of the fire typing on your computer hard work.

Took a break from blogging today because I had a friend in town and I’ve been helping him set up a blog that WILL be very profitable for him if he takes is seriously and starts posting one blog post a week for the first 6 months.

So another day of light blogging. This may be the only post I do today. Maybe tweaking my shopping blog a little bit cause it’s the only domain that is really performing during Black Friday or Cyber Monday. If you have a quality blog that was based on products and services, you will be making your biggest profit RIGHT NOW! My hat goes off to all those product bloggers this weekend – enjoy it because you have worked really hard, and you deserve it.

When the holidays are over and January rolls around again, the hang-overs are mending, our business will be in full swing again.

So yesterday was November 24th on a Wed and so many people are already on the road or in the air on their way to visit family and friends for the United States thanksgiving holiday, so overall Internet traffic was down about 25-30% as compared to a normal Wed during November. Of course our traffic is three times higher between March and August, but whatever….not applicable NOW.

So the total Adsense income was $94.77 and we feel very fortunate to have made that. I would have been grateful to make 50 bucks considering the TG holiday is starting up.

Some niche blogs made more because they talk about road conditions in Canada and such. Understanding the seasonal aspect of Internet traffic is very important to capitalize on profit through the different seasons of the year.

I use a free traffic estimator by Google to anticipate traffic for different keywords – try it yourself!

So now that we are only getting pure natural/organic search traffic on our network of niche blogs, we can see our daily Adsense income. I’m going to try and post every day or two here at Zulit to show the every slow trickle upward of Adsense earnings – this will be for myself to look back on, and for my readers to see a real world example of Adsense income.

I will venture to create some tables and graphs as well to see the monthly traffic stats and Adsense earning stats as well. I never did this before because our Adsense income was coming from so many different sources – PPC mixed with organic search traffic, and honestly….I never took much pride in traffic that came via PPC. I ALWAYS believed that true success online is based on the hits you get from real content from the two biggest search engines – Yahoo! and Google (note: Bing not included ;p)

That is generated from 8 different niche blogs that are all over 3 years old. The highest PR (page rank) that any of these sites has is 2. Here is a breakdown of the page ranks on each blog just to show you how page rank doesn’t really mean diddly when it comes to earning money. If you are new niche blogger you need to completely FORGET about page rank and simply write more content.

So we are small potatoes in the blogging world and certainly nothing to write home about, but we make a decent living so far. I will never ever assume that this will be our way of making a full time living, and I’m always telling myself that I HAVE to be ready take on a JOB in the future. However, I would first sell the house and the RV and get rid of our mortgage and see if we have enough money coming in from the Internet.

When you have a job you’re paycheck can be taken from you at any time and it’s 100% beyond your control. With an Internet income you are much more secure financially, AS LONG AS YOU; Write 100% original content, don’t do any artificial linking or paid linking. JUST WRITE.

Every new post is another raise.
