Buy some inauguration day souvenirs and have some family heirlooms stashed away from the day Barack Obama was inaugurated in Washington D.C.
On this amazing and historic day of January 20, 2009 Barack Obama will be sworn in with the oath of office. This all happens on the steps of the US Capitol and I will never forget it. Break until after the inauguration.

After the oath of office Barack gave his inaugural address which was expected and delivered in an amazing and a course smooth and cool fashion. I already have some Barack Obama souvenirs from his primary but make sure I ordered some inauguration souvenirs online.
With all of the inauguration events and the inauguration balls, parties, get-togethers, and all around jubilation it is sometimes easy to forget to buy some souvenirs to remember the day and pass them down to our children and our children’s children. Having these kinds of souvenirs is priceless just like the day John F. Kennedy was inaugurated on the same steps in Washington D.C.
After his inauguration Obama did his speech which was (as I mentioned) stirring and amazing. I saw people with every kind of souvenir you can imagine. People were buying T-shirts, baseball caps, socks, blue jeans, golf shirts, buttons, penants, lighters, plaques, dishes, rings, necklaces, jewelry, and every other kind of souvenir and paraphernalia you could possibly imagine. I know I did list of all here.
I made sure that I bought souvenirs for the whole family and a pretty well filled up the whole trunk of my car. I spent over $400 on Obama souvenirs which all had to do with his inauguration. I made a lot of people happy and the family at all I could say was look after them and keep everything from being dog-eared, oxidized, and/or just plain abused.
Barack Obama Inauguration Souvenirs Will Be Priceless In Years To Come
Whatever you do make sure you protect all of your inauguration Day souvenirs from the elements, the air, condensation, dirt, dust, and anything else that could smear, scratch, or ruin them.
The souvenirs will be priceless beyond measure in 20 to 30 years. Most of us will choose to keep the souvenirs from Barack’s inauguration day celebration in the family as heirlooms, but some of us will choose to sell them (probably on eBay or online somewhere).
Some of John F. Kennedy’s inauguration day souvenirs sold for big big bucks in 30 years after his death. Perhaps John F. Kennedy’s souvenirs would be worth more because of his assassination, but because Barack Obama is the first African-American president the souvenirs could be setting a precedent.
I wrapped all of our souvenirs in plastic, airtight packaging, and temperature controlled areas. If I had my way all of these keepsakes would be kept under glass but since I am not running a museum shrinkwrapping will have to do.
If you did not buy any souvenirs from the inauguration I am sure there are companies online who will be providing trinkets and keepsakes for cheap in the near future. Some of the items we have seen on TV all the late-night infomercials are pretty ridiculous but some of them are definitely worthy.
Stay away from the cheap so-called Obama coins because they are really just crap and they don’t sell for much years down the road. If you buy a souvenir on the same day from a vendor right in the capital in Washington and you can prove it with some sort of certificate that is the most valuable kind of souvenir you can buy.
