Blackhat Seo That Ends Up Pure White

Blackhat Weekend is Here Again

Organic Traffic Only

Organic Traffic Only Profit - Click To Enlarge

Well that week went by really fast as usual. So I spent most of Saturday working hard creating blogs for some friends of mine – as sometimes I love helping someone get started and not have to deal with the same four year learning curve I had. Now it’s time to talk about something I find REALLY fascinating.

Last weekend I was talking about my dabbling with Blackhat SEO, and we looked at turning a WordPress blog into an RRS splog, and how I was not happy with any of the results I got. The reason being that the content is regurgitated, stolen, and presented in a hapless way. I like my blogs to look good and I can’t settle for re-hashed content. So what is the answer to creating 100% original content (as far as the Internet is concerned), and creating an enormous amount of it fast? Well I think I’ve finally found an answer to that question, and it works better than ANY system I’ve ever used. There is no other system that works as well as this if you are like me and don’t want to spend all your time having to “network” all day long, and get accepted into powerful a powerful blog club. I know that some of you reading this want to grow your online wealth with total control, and go it alone. I know that for some this seems ridiculous, and that no one is an island, but I know some bloggers who don’t join “clubs” and like to work on the fringes too.

Blog Farm System Background

I am going to document my complete system for creating a white hat blog farm and explain how to do it properly. This is a system that evolved from my first intention to experiment with a blackhat style method of creating and managing splogs. I first started by trying all of the Blogger (Blogspot) creation software packages like Easy Blogger Creator and the like. Just like my other efforts, I hated the results and I knew that Google would eventually disallow these systems from working and all your efforts would be mute. Once again, the content was ugly, and it was re-hashed, etc.

Actually I found it easier to create all my splogs manually, and I found a much better way to create the content. 100% pure original content that reads well, readers enjoy and get something out of, and the the search engines treat with great respect. In fact, once I was done creating my so-called splog farm in Blogger, it could no longer be considered a splog farm – they were just blogs – white hats on ladies and gentlemen. Below I explain how to create these blogs, the timing of events, how the content is created, and what technologies I use.

Powerful System For Creating Blog Farms

First the Tools and Technologies

  • Blog platforms: WordPress [1] and Blogger (blogspot) [2]
  • Software: Dupefree [3] and Dragon Naturally Speaking [4]
  • Computer: Laptop or Desktop computer (ya think?)

The Niche

I’m going to assume you have enough experience to know how important choosing a niche target for creating profit from is. Make sure you choose a topic that is consumer driven where people are seriously looking for a product or service. Don’t go for niche that people will just fly through your blogs to look at pictures, or simply read. You want them coming to look for a specific product or service. And don’t choose a niche where the advertisers spend very little per click. Here is a tip – Water Softeners or Breast Surgery pays well and you can compete. OK, this is boring stuff because we’ve been talking about niche targeting for years now – it’s a no-brainer so if you want to read further go see Jonathan’s post entitled, “How to choose a profitable niche“. In my opinion, you can make money off any subject, but you want to optimize your possibility for larger profits.

There is one catch to the niche material. You have to make sure that your niche subject has a lot of books written on it – and here is a subtle hint, there should be plenty of old books in print on the subject. I’ll explain why this is so important later, but take the time to go down to your nearest used book store and look for books that are related to a lucrative niche such as one identified using the criteria above, and on Jonathan’s page.

The Design Model of The Blog Farm

Now for the fun stuff. When I started experimenting with the idea of blog farming, I took a big piece of cardboard and drew it out in a diagram. Below is an image I created for my blog farm system.

Basic Structure of White Hat Blog Farm

Basic Structure of White Hat Blog Farm

First thing you want to do is create your owned domains using the WordPress blogging platform. I use 7 as a rule of thumb, but you can create more or less. I have 7 different unlimited hosting accounts so that is why I use 7. You want to have your primary blogs on different servers for future linking, but as you will read, linking these primary blogs is avoided until much later and in moderation.

Second thing you want to do is create your Blogger farm, and I would not go more than 45 blogs. Remember these will not be splogs. These will be the real deal and they will not get shut down. These are long-term blogs that will stand the test of time because you are not playing any dirty tricks as far as the search engines see. As a matter of fact, these will be highly respected blogs. I know – I know – I know you’re wondering how on earth we can keep high quality content on these blogs all by ourselves, without a team of professional writers. Read on.

On these Blogger blogs you need to setup 5 different accounts (MANUALLY) with five different Gmail accounts. For each account never create more than 9 blogs, because I’ve noticed there seems to be a trigger on the creation of a tenth blogger blog. Google thinks you’re splogger sometimes, but I have never had a problem creating 9 blogs. Of course all of these blogs are about your chosen niche.  Stay away from desktop software designed to manage all your blogs – it’s just as easy to post manually and the posts are clean and pretty.

In the image above you can see the link structure that will eventually be employed, but you need to link slowly, and carefully. Over-linking is a trap that too many eager webmasters and “blog masters” tend to fall into. You are not going to be so careless. We will get into more detail on linking below.

Now We Create The Content – This Is The Fun Part!

Go down to that book store I mentioned earlier and buy up 5-10 books on the niche subject you are working for. Then make sure you have Dragon Naturally Speaking installed and working on your PC. You will have to train Dragon to understand your diction and the tones of your voice. This takes some time to master, because you need to paraphrase the content one section at a time in your own words with your own speaking rhythm, but Dragon will keep getting smarter and smarter the more you use it. I can dictate an article over 2500 words long and only tweak or change a dozen words in it – it’s that accurate.

Before you even consider using the content in these old books, you need to do some checks. Take one of the books and dictate a page into Dragonpad, or a simple text editor (.txt). Copy/paste that chunk of content into one of your blogger blogs and publish it. Once the article is published (does not have to perfect or complete because we’re just going to delete it anyway) copy the URL of the blog page you created and go to the Copyscape website. Paste in your Blogger blog’s page URL and click go. You will know now if the content from this used book is online somewhere. If you don’t see any use of this text online, then the search engine will see it as pure Grade-A golden content, and 100% original. I know that I mentioned we are paraphrasing in our own words to avoid plagiarism, but the content will still be similar to the book’s content, so you want to make sure the book’s content is not already online in Google Books or something like that.

Once you have made sure all your used books are not online anywhere you are ready to create your content. Now, you likely screaming foul on this because it is pure plagiarism …… right? Well, sort of is the right answer, but since you are writing it all in your own words I would say not. You should give credit to the writer(s) on a separate credit page somewhere on your blog.

You would be surprised (or maybe not) at some of the big players on the Internet who are doing exactly what I’m showing you here, except they are going word for word. You would also be shocked at how many books I move this way for Amazon commissions. So now you given credit to the writer(s) and you have created a way for them to sell more books.

In a 7-8 hour period I create over 10,000 words of excellent content that has never been on the Internet. This kind of content is like crack cocaine to the search engines, the readers love it, and people link these pages due to the quality of the article.

Load The Content – About 4-5 Hours To Do

I create at least 30 articles between 750 – 1500 words using the dictation software as above, and this way you never use the same article more than twice. From my experience having the same article published word for word a couple of time does not hurt your blog(s). Even three times seems to be OK as long as it is nowhere on the Internet yet. Of course we know this content is 100% fresh and NOT on the Internet yet – right?

Now manually load your articles into all of your blogs, and this includes your primarly WordPress profit blogs, but they get the best articles, and these article are NOT used anywhere else. 100% pure fresh golden content for these blogs.

Manually log into your blogger accounts and post an article in all of your blogs. This does not take as long as you thing. 2-3 hours and ALL of my blogs have been fed their ration of High-Grade content. You can do this twice a week on all of your blogs with no problem once you get into the swing of things. Your frequency of posting is up to you but I would start very slow, and build up. The searchies like molasses and turtles, not rabbits an hawks

That’s it. Don’t do any linking yet – I will discuss linking below.

How To Link Your Blog Farm

This is critically important and must be read. Don’t believe what most of the so-called experts tell you about having as many possible inbound links as possible. The search engines are now wary of rapid linking to brand new domains. Why? Because it makes no sense at all to have a new web site or domain receive hundreds of links within the first day of launch. So what do I do? Very little for a full year.

For this pure whitehat blog farm project as pictured in the image above, I don’t even bother with ANY linking for at least 3 months, and even then I only add one inbound link per blog per month until the first year anniversary of the blog(s). I bet you have not heard that one before. This is a very natural looking progression to the search engines, and you will be surprised how well it works.

Link Structure of Your Blog Farm

When it is time to start linking I link carefully and make sure the anchor text is perfect. In other words the link(s) will be in the middle of a beautiful piece of content on one blog, with the all-important keywords for anchor text, and linking to an article about the same keyword(s).

At first I only link to the Blogger farm from Article directories. These are my favorite 6 below:

  1. EzineArticles, PR 6  http://ezinearticles.com/
  2. ISnare, PR 6  http://www.isnare.com/
  3. GoArticles , PR 6  http://www.goarticles.com/
  4. Article Dashboard, PR 6  http://www.articledashboard.com/
  5. Article City, PR 6  http://www.articlecity.com/
  6. Buzzle, PR 6  http://www.buzzle.com/
  7. Articles Factory, PR 5  http://www.articlesfactory.com/
  8. SearchWrap, PR 4  http://searchwarp.com/
  9. Articles Base, PR 5  http://www.articlesbase.com/
  10. IdeaMarketers, PR 3  http://www.ideamarketers.com/
So I only link from the Article Directory articles I write (with Dragon Naturally Speaking) to the Blogger blogs and NOT to my main money blogs that are self-hosted. Why? Because the search engines are starting to be wary of these links now. Some will be outraged that I say this without any real proof, but I’ve noticed the link juice from these article directories don’t seem to have the same potency. So why bother taking a chance sending these inbounds to your critical “forever blogs”.
The only inbound links to your main WordPress blogs come from other blogs and web sites the natural way (and believe me with the quality of your content you are putting up you will get inbound links) and carefully planted links in your Blogger farm. Remember that with the content that we have on the blogger blogs, they are no longer splogs, and these are not really part of a true splog farm my definition.
The Blogger farm blogs also link to each other if it makes sense, but slowly. Don’t over do it. Remember that your article for the Blogger farm are used twice and no more, so it would make sense to have some links moving around.

In Conclusion

What we are left with is over 50 high quality blogs on one niche topic. Your competition is going to have serious trouble dealing with your power level. I know this sounds like alot of work and there is some investment in software involved, but I’m a serious publisher, and I assume if you have read this far you are too. Now you can forget about all the Blackhat software and schemes out there. You are creating and managing a pure Whitehat network of niche blogs ready for Cherry Picking.

Cherry Picking From You Blog Farm

At the stage you are at with your year old blog farm ticking along, you are making some money for sure without paying for PPC costs, and you are in full control of the linking this network. So now you can Cherry Pick profitable keywords in your niche.
I go to my Wordtracker account (I recommend paying the yearly fee and get a Pro-Grade Wordtracker account) and find some active keywords that have a lot of people searching for in the searchies. Do some online research (forget the books when Cherry Picking) and make some basic notes on the keyword subject matter. Then get your dictation software out and write a lengthy article between 1500-2000 words long. Post it one of your main self-hosted WordPress blogs. About 2 weeks later after the search engines have fully indexed the article page, start linking to it from your blog farm. MAKE SURE you use the primary keyword in the anchor text, and make sure the anchor text varies from each Blogger blog.  Don’t over-do this either. About 3-4 links per week, and within a month bang in around 20-25 links at the most. Within the next 6 months you can add some more slowly.

Your original 1500-2000 word article on your WordPress blog will dominate the search engines for that keyword. This also seems like a lot of work, but it’s really not a big deal, and besides – are you here to make a profit or not. It’s going to take some work if you want to profit in this business.

Thomas Edison’s famous quote is always ringing in my ear, “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”

Are you sweating yet?

I’m just new at this and this seems like it is much harder than what I was led to expect. How did the word blackhat get invented anyway?

    Love your blog.

  2. terryzulit Says:

Thanks. As far as the amount of work this takes, yes there is some work here but there is no free lunch online anymore. You have to have fresh original content rolling up all of the time. Whether it yours, or your visitors adding content, you have to have it.

By the way…..I know why I’m up so early, but why are you? ;-)

  3. Sandro Says:

    Hello Terry !

It’s the first time i read your blog. I spend money and especially time to get Adsense started right with delivering content of high quality, which was my main
    concern.
Man, I got me a overdose of information! That kinda stoped me from really getting started!

While i was thinking about getting back to basics to simplify things, i seen your blog. ( was searching for hypervre templ. )
You sure inspired me and helped me sort my knowledge i have already and the
way to put it into action. Your blog is fun to read, i like your style and if you have a second drop me a email where i may could reach you. Thank you very much
    Terry ! :-D

    Greetings from Switzerland

    Sandro

Btw, Are you a KISS Fan too? hehe…

  4. terryzulit Says:

    Thanks Sandro,

Keep at it and focus on one blog or site until it becomes profitable. Then move to the next!

  5. ashel Says:

Do you recommend linking to from the article sites to the blogs originally, or go back after a period and editing them to link to the blog?

I’m new to this, but I already have 5 .coms setup with wordpress, 5 blogger accounts (45 blogs) an registered at some of the sites you listed for articles. I got some stuff from the library on my subject and I’ve already started dictating (harder than it sounds).

How much should I paraphrase? I heard google analyzes “snippets” so they may take three or four words here and there and analyze them against their vast databases? How would you ever know if you are being penalized in the searchies? I have been paraphrasing so heavily that I would almost consider it completely my own. :)

Thanks for this great article, I’m really going at it full force and giving it a shot.

  6. terryzulit Says:

Your dictation will get much better as you get better at it.

The more your paraphrase the more money you will make in the future because other people will eventually catch on to this and these books will someday be online (my guess)

Don’t even worry about linking much yet. Just write and write and write for awhile.

Then when it is time to link – link from the article directories to your Blogger farm and to your WordPress blogs.

    Be patient and keep going.

  7. Contempt Says:

Very nice article man, and great earnings. If you ever want to exchange some info drop me a comment with your contact information. :)

I’m glad that I inspired you to write it, that’s quite the compliment. Keep it up!
