Page Optimization – The WV Theory

For those bloggers who are seriously blogging for money, they need to consider their writing process. What I’m getting at is good old fashioned keyword optimization. There are many different theories on this subject, but I recently read Kenny Allman’s article, Optimizing Your Adsense Blog Content, and I find it an interesting read. Kenny’s ideology on content optimization is that your writing needs to stand out from competing web sites and blogs.

His method of achieving this is to use words that are not the norm. He uses the phrase Keyword Variety (KWV) and coins the phrase Word Variety (WV). KWV, as he explains, is the typical keyword optimization used by masterful web content writers, and WV is a broader manipulationds in a document or web page, you will notice a value called “original words”. Example: “87 original words found” Now consider what the search engine bots/spiders calculate. I assure you that there is a calculation taking your original words into play. Of course this is more important to remember when using keyword optimization (so-called keyword rich), but Kenny’s consensus is that the use of words original in context compared to other competing web sites and blogs is also a key factor.

Of course he is basing his theory on his own tests of trial and error, using hundreds of web sites and blogs. He is not basing his theory on a foremost search algorithm used like Google’s, Yahoo!’s, or MSN’s. (no-one gets to see those algorithms) He is the first to remind people that he bases his theory on his own trial and error.

Regardless, I think his WV theory has some merit, and employing his methods would only enhance your writing to a more sophisticated level. You might learn some new words, and maybe impress some of your readers. Hmm….I suppose I should replace the word sophisticated for “labyrinthine”. ;-)
