Wanda Sykes Rips Rush Limbaugh at Washington Correspondents’ Dinner (video added)
Woah! Wanda Sykes more than spoke about Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh. She barbecued them. Conservatives will be belly-aching this week over Wanda’s comments. (Video Below)
Sykes ranted about Rush Limbaugh saying he wished Barack Obama would fail. She ended by saying she wished that Mr. Limbaugh’s kidneys would fail. She also joked that Limbaugh was likely a terrorist like Osama Bin Laden because of his so-called verbal treason.
Some of her comments about Limbaugh;
“Talk about evil people (Republicans), they’re just nasty! (Rush Limbaugh) saying, ‘I want the president to fail!’ What kind of bullshit is that? He thinks screw everybody else. Screw everybody, I just want to win! That’s treason, right? I’m like, ‘Let’s not close Guantanamo (Bay), send Rush Limbaugh’s big ass over there! He’s a terrorist!’”
“You’ve had your fair share of critics. … Rush Limbaugh said this administration fails. … He just wants the country to fail. To me that’s treason. He’s not saying anything different than what Osama Bin Laden is saying. You might want to look into this, sir, because I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight. … Rush Limbaugh, I hope the country fails, I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a good waterboarding, that’s what he needs.”
Great. Fine. Excellent. Rush Limbaugh can eat some of his medicine. Of course I am biased being a stark raving liberal minded type. (Video Below)
I think though that it was obvious that Wanda Sykes was going to controversial since she has been know to bash the GOP before, as in on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
I for one was surprised to see Skyes go off as hard as she did. There is a problem though if the hard left wing gets too vindictive towards the GOP. We don’t want a backlash where American’s start feeling sorry for the hard right Republicans.
There needs to be room for the moderate Republicans to take control of their party and grow back into serious opposition.
I’m sure Skyes will be more of a household name tomorrow. Millions will see her the first time, and their opinions will surely be varied. Hard right wingers will hate her, Conservatives will dislike her, moderate Democrats will be concerned, and hard left-wing Liberals will applaud her.
Either way, she is allot more famous as of now.

The United States of America has been a socialist country since you had Welfare.
The United States of America has been a socialist country since you had Medicare.
The United States of America has been a socialist country since you had Medicaid.
The United States of America has been a socialist country since you free Libraries.
The United States of America has been a socialist country since the Fed.
The list goes on and on and on, meanwhile the USA can’t deliver what every other “FREE” country in the industrialized Western world has long ago —– a right to free health care.
