When I first began my journey on the road to financial freedom, I hunted the Internet from A to Z looking for the right model, method, and system. I had not used the Internet to buy anything up until then so I was skeptical about the viability of an online business. I was very leary of pulling out my credit card and entering the numbers into an online form. My knees felt weak when I finally bought my first ebook – pretty funny looking at it now, because I buy ebooks like so much kleenex now, but $50 dollars was allot of money to me back then.
So my first ebook cost me a whopping 50 something dollars, and looking back on it now I realize that my very first ebook helped me on my path to the lifestyle I enjoy now. It acted as an introduction to the world of online income, marketing, and Internet traffic, yet the information it held was fairly simple.

That first ebook filled my mind with the possibilities of an online business that runs 24/7/365. I saw a survey site once that showed a husband and wife working on their computers overlooking a tropical beach. That image is still burned in my brain, and the amazing thing is, I’ve experienced that exact scene a fews times in the last year and a half. As a matter of fact, we just got back from a trip to Palm Springs for three weeks, in which we were laying at the pool with our laptops. By 11:30 in the morning our commissions were over $300 and my night-fall we we’re at about $900-$1000 USD. It still feels like a weird dream to my wife and I. Of course the “things” we have and the “things” we do don’t mean a hill of beans if we don’t have inner peace, so most of my daily work now is on my own thought processing, and balance. Recently I’ve been researching some of the home based businesses that are Canadian based. Surfing through various websites and making some phone calls, I pretty well have a good idea now which home business opportunities are the most viable for Canadians. Before I do, I want to explain some of my history in Canada first.

My Experience Working In Canada

This article was a long time coming as I’m based in Calgary, Alberta, lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and was raised in the Queen Charlotte Islands, Prince George, Smithers, Prince Rupert, Terrace, and Victoria. I also lived in Vancouver, B.C. for 4 years. I’ve worked in Toronto, Ontario, Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Montreal, Quebec. I was in aviation throught my first career when I was in those cities, but settled in Calgary when I began my Internet career (which is from home).

Past Home Business Opportunities In Canada

When I first moved to Calgary, Alberta, I was amazed at how many vehicles I saw that had home business advertising on them. The entrepreneureal spirit runs deep in Alberta and I love it! There is a real can-do attitude here. Growing up in British Columbia I did not see this same ferver for home based businesses and general self-employment. The only home businesses I noticed were the families running their corner stores. There was no such thing as Internet home businesses when I was growing up. The Internet business craze did not really hit until the mid 1990’s. (more…)

Another tool for cleaning some of my crappy computers is a good registry cleaner. You know…a registry cleaner that does’nt “install it’s own amendments” causing more problems than I already have!

I’ve tried a few free registry cleaners and that is what happened. I had some spam bug installed on my computer and I had to find yet ANOTHER piece of software to get rid of it. Arghh!

I finally broke down bought a REAL registry cleaner. This is the one I ended up using in the end. I’ve installed it on all my computers now. (3 laptops and 2 desktops……hehe)
