Internet Home Business Rush
Internet home based businesses are launched everyday in massive proportion. Absolute beginners will find themselves surfing the Internet looking for the answers they need to start making profits. They will search deep into cyberspace - posting questions on forums - in hopes that they will attain the knowledge required to be successful with their online business.
The comparison between Internet income and the California gold rush is pertinent. Eager participants run to their desktops and laptops with the goal of creating a cash flow that exceeds their current income. The motives are different of course; some just want to make enough money to add a few hundred dollars to their bank balance each month, while others are visualizing millions of dollars pouring in. The statistics regarding the failure and success rate for these rose-colored impresarios is disheartening. It’s well documented that a very small percentage ever succeed in creating enough income per month to pay half their phone bill.
So what do these fledgling netrepreneurs do when faced with such a challenge? They quit, they keep trying various online business models, they focus on one proven business model, or they try black hat and gray hat tricks. The latter is the worst case scenario for various reasons;
- they create more Internet trash for shoppers to sift through, which hurts everyone’s livelihoodÂ
- they bloat servers all over the globe with their Internet trash
- their success is time limited as the search engine algorithms soon wipe out their traffic
- they waste their time, that could be used to build legitimate online streams of income
If the so-called “newbie” is lucky they will choose the second choice, roll up their sleeves, and begin creating a powerful online resource. This takes hard work and involves some expertise, but it’s not an overwhelming goal. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, writing articles that have merit is manageable if the subject matter is something you are familiar with. I would encourage all miners in the Internet gold rush to create web sites and blogs around their passions. I’ve chosen the topic of financial freedom because I’m very passionate about personal freedom, and the first goal in that quest is fiscal freedom. This subject leaving me enough wriggling room to explore all freedoms in life. If you choose a topic that’s narrow, you will have trouble coming up with ideas of your articles.
You’ll notice that my focal point regarding online success is writing. There are many that may disagree with me and possibly make hundreds of thousands of dollars in short order, but this article was written to try and help beginners starting out on their Internet home business. There is one way to ensure your future traffic, and that is by writing thought provoking, and insightful content. You don’t need to write long winded pieces (like yours truly does sometimes), but create your work from your heart and your own words. This is why.
The major search engines are developing highly sophisticated algorithms that will completely eradicate the ability to “game” them. I believe that the only means of survival for my Internet business is though the process of writing and uploading original work. I try to make sure my writing is “thought provoking”, and I fail sometimes, but that won’t stop me from plugging away. It may seem bizarre that I’m coming across as a bonafide success, when you only see a new blog with zero level Google page rank, but this is a new blog, and I have many others that creating solid cash flow everyday. This blog will be a personal project that will grow through the years into a consistent stream of revenue. The actual launch date for http://www.zulit.com/ is June 15th, 2006. If this is the first visit to my site, I welcome you, and hope you can find some inspiration in my writings.

Great article! I really appreciate your “down to earth” way of explaining things. I’m slowly reading everything you write about blogging and creating sustainable revenue streams. I’m fairly new to all of this but you make it easy to understand. Thanks!

Thanks Tony,
You’ll find I’m all over the map in regards to different income methods, and that’s because there are so many that can be employed.
We all have to test different methods until we find the one that works for us. Here is a tip though…..try and avoid starting with a blog that’s about making money. It’s really competitive and you need to look at product based sites for traffic and money generation.
